SHS hosted a Career Fair last Friday, providing students with the opportunity to explore various career paths, career options, and military opportunities. A big thank you goes out to all the businesses and individuals who collaborated to make this event a resounding success.

This week, students in grades 9 through 11 will start submitting their course requests. Updated materials and helpful resources are now available on the Searcy High School Counselors webpage, accessible at https://bit.ly/shs_scheduling. On Tuesday, 1st period teachers will distribute Pre-Registration Sheets and Course Credit Sheets to all students. Take a moment to review these documents with your child and discuss their course choices for the upcoming year.

Searcy High School is hosting the First Robotics tournament at Lion Arena today and tomorrow. Searcy's team is #9067 named "The Goonies."

ATTENTION: SHS Seniors, We've confirmed the participation of 24 employers for the You're Hired event. Together, they offer approximately 40 different job listings, each seeking candidates for multiple positions within those listings. Please review the list of employers participating, job listings, and business white pages. The next step is to start collecting resumes from students. Upon submission, students will be prompted to select three preferred options for job applications. We have a team who will develop the schedule for interviews. The schedule of interviews will be communicated to you the week before the event. When students submit their resumes, they will also be required to complete a Photo Release/Resume Release Form. This form authorizes all pertinent parties, including but not limited to the participating schools, Arkansas State University-Beebe Searcy Campus, the Searcy Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Department of Workforce Services, to share the student's resume and facilitate connections with prospective employers on behalf of the student.
